All transplanted New Yorkers now living in Charlotte have one common gripe. Where can we find genuine New York style pizza in Charlotte? While in New York for 35 years I used to regularly eat at Ray’s on Bleeker Street, continuously ranked as a top three pizza in the US. Go to Pie in the Sky, you’ll be glad you did and before long you’ll be saying “forgetaboutit”
Upon walking in, I felt like I was transported back in time to a New York deli. The service was very patient to a one time visitor and very accommodating. I ordered a Reuben with fries. Both were hot and fresh and because I was extra hungry that day, I didn't take any pictures.

I have rolled in at 10:30, when they open, a few times now and asked for pies for team meetings, 4-10 pizzas. They are always so accommodating with the order. We pick them up a couple hours later - and they are always hot and ready. No fuss. Service is always 10/10. Then, it's just always a great quality pizza. Team always polishes off the meat pizzas first. Thank You!

Best pizza in town. Coming from New York, it’s hard to find places that offer high quality pizza, especially with variety (favorite being buffalo chicken). Going on my lunch break, always a great energy in this place, and the food is outstanding (plus, it’s ready quick). Highly recommend
